A fun wedding invitation came out of a desire to incorporate handrolling into the production.
You can see a thorough description in our portfolio.

We recently completed a wedding announcement in both English and Turkish. The Turkish version lead us into a few new typography issues. The first issue was the four accents that we don’t normally see in the U.S. The typeface we were using was Opsmarckt which while not having non-European accents did have some quite nice dingbats which we sprinkled throughout the text.
The accents we needed to invent and position within the type included a lowercase ‘g’ with breve accent (ğ), lowercase ’s’ with a cedilla (ş), a lowercase dotless “i” (ı), and an uppercase dotted “I” (İ). In addition, the first word had the lowercase ‘g’ with breve accent and FOUR umlauts. We don’t often see that at Lead Graffiti. Makes me want to give another shot at learning FontLab.
Here is the final invitation. You can read more of this story on our website.
