Delaware College of Art & Design workshop

A group of 24 students and faculty from the Delaware College of Art & Design came by Lead Graffiti in Newark, Delaware on February 5, 2009 to get some first hand experience at setting type the old-fashioned way and then printing it on our Vandercook SP-15. Each student took one letter from the poem Alpha by Edwin Morgan to set. Those were put together and printed as a broadside each student could take with them. It looked like the students had a good time.

Page furniture
Lead Graffiti has added some page lock up furniture. One of the things we wanted to do when we started Wallflowers Press was small, limited edition books. This might help get us started toward one of the three we are currently planning.
This is one of the two cabinets that came with the furniture. This one holds 8 pica to 42 pics. The other cabinet holds 8 picas to 72 picas. We’ll post a lockup to add to this information once we try it out on a book.

Interesting copywriting
Jill came across this yardstick in our studio. Someone definitely put some effort into the copywriting.

Small eBay things - 4/1/07

This will likely start a new line of rock ‘n roll kid’s clothing for the upcoming granddaughter who will be named Attie Blu. Sounds like a good name for a clothing line. We’ve also started on developing a good book for parents to keep track of their children’s progress.

Jill is from West Texas so maybe we will start a line of Texas cards. “Don’t mess with Texas.”

Not sure about the frog, but Jill thought it was cute and the price was low.
